WHAT WE OFFER:
The goal of Garrett's Place is to teach valuable life skills to our teens and adults living with autism. Types of classes currently offered include the following:
- General Life Skills Classes - topics include cooking, basic meal planning, kitchen safety, cleaning, basic home maintenance, basic budgeting, and socialization.
- Pre-Employment Classes - topics include online job search, resume writing, utilizing online employment search tools, workplace conflict resolution, self advocacy, preserving personal information, making credit work for you, social relationships in the workplace, disclosure and matching interests in careers.
- Recreational Classes - activities include yoga/meditation, dancing, creating various forms of art, and baking.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Classes will be offered several times throughout the year. If you are interested in enrolling, we ask that you have an updated Membership and Needs Assessment Form on file with us. We will contact you when a spot becomes available in a class that meets the needs of your loved one with ASD.
